@@jasdillsran6151But thats because he hasn’t dropped an album in over 3 years. He drops big songs with Sprinter, Starlight and that EP with Central Cee. I don’t think he’s fallen off he’s just not active
SO SURPRISED BUT SO HAPPY YOU GUYS UPLOADED THIS!!! You have been put on to the Best Ever UK Rapper. Also Dave produces pretty much all his songs he's crazy talented
headie one? Not a chance. Stormzy yes, but he doesn’t even drop that much and a lot of ppl don’t even like him because they think he’s too pop. Dave has been top 1 rapper for like 6/7 years now
He should be bigger than cench. Cench can't even freestyle without lyrics he's written b4hand. No disrespect on him tho he's good but no where near the same level@@qwertyvypez
I’m not from the uk but have been listening to Dave since young and I think ppl love his projects but forget about him bc he doesn’t have much commercial success in between them. Ppl know he’s good but he disappears (at least for mainstream rap fans). Whenever he drops ppl listen and usually love it. However I know ppl who know Dave for his bday tracks or his heavier stuff and like it but don’t always wanna listen to a song like “how I met my ex” when they’re trying to vibe.
Honestly no matter how many times I listen to it, I still cry. The imagery is astounding and he wrote such a powerful song while still a teenager. Easily one of my top 5 albums of all time!
love this channel, and this is one of my favourite albums of all time, glad you reacted to it. you have to do "we're all alone in this together" next for sure
Man I'm so glad you guys liked it the way you did, Dave is one of the best alive no doubt. We're All Alone in This Together will be one hell of a reaction from y'all hahah
“Cutting through bricks like the 118” on Streatham: the 118 is the number of the bus that runs through Brixton and stops at Streatham on its route. Hence cutting through bricks (Brix). Crazy and local double entendre. There are so many lines that fly right over international listeners heads, naturally.
So excited to watch this reaction!!! Psychodrama is amazing. This album really helped me out of a dark period in my life. You guys have to do We’re All Alone In This Together at some point pls
As a west african, that line in Black about having 20 cousins living stress free and walking for their water daughters wrapped inside a bed sheet hits so close to home because that's literally how my family there lives. I've got to see them twice and on both occasions I felt so at peace knowing how grateful they are for what they have and the amount of love they have for eachother
The way the music and instrumental builds up and follows the storyline in Lesley is truly magical. Makes the listening experience that much more emotional. As always great reaction!
After Ed Sheran's 2017 Divide and Drake's 2018 Scorpion. So at 15, this was the 3rd album I ever fell truly fell in love with. I'm so glad you guys have finally got around to listening to it. I loved that even while reacting to such a melodramatic album you found moments to make each other and also me, laugh. You guys are amazing.
@GioBoBioo everyone got their own taste, that's cool asf. And these hella popular artists don't get where they get with nobody loving their stuff 🤷♂️

Fantastic reaction and agree with everything you both said. Dave is a super talent and defines what a real artist is. Look forward to more of him on the channel 👏
So glad y’all got into the Dave catalogue. He’s been my favorite artist since that album. Please review his newest album- Were All Alone in This Together It’s the sequel
Dave's best music is his first mixtape and some of his early freestyles I'd heavily recommend his blackbox cypher and freestyle it's insane and he was only 16
Amazing reaction! "Wow!" A lot of people suggesting WAAITT, which is incredible, but I think you'd also REALLY enjoy Little Simz, another UK rapper. Her album "Sometimes I Might Be Introvert" is genuinely one of the greatest albums of all-time imo. The production will blow you away.
seeing this live at the peak of its popularity was such as an amazing experience, if you havent heard 'wanna know' yet you gotta check it out, the original not the drake version though
Also you need to check out Dave's live Brits performance of 'Black'. There's an extra verse and the performance is with Fraser T Smith it's the best Brits performance!!!
So glad you guys finally got to Dave, there is more Dave out there that is definitely worth a listen. People are going to say "We're all alone in this together" but don't sleep on "Game Over". Both very good tho, I'll just be happy for more Dave.
I hate when people don't comment on the album the video is about... but guys, I *fucking love Craig David* and I grew up with my mom blasting Born to Do It in the house constantly. Y'all cool af, man
In black when he said " benin they called it slave coast" in his reference to how deeper his pain goes. He was referring to benin, part of Nigeria, which is along the coastal line and where his mum is from.
Please watch Dave’s live performance of “black” at the Brit awards. There is an extra verse which hits hard. The performance is also incredible, especially as Dave plays the keys.
Wow. Did not see that coming. ❤🎉 I think you guys missed something. It was his brother that made the closing audio we hear at the end. So the biblical reference he made here is that Dave (David) is the chosen one.
i picked up on the biblical reference (i spoke briefly about it near the end of the video i think) but i thought it was dave talking about himself rather than his brother. what you said makes much more sense lol. thank you!!
Love the reaction. Some of my favorite artists are conscious rappers. You should check out Lupe Fiasco - Drogas. (Chicago artist) or Shiros story (UK storyteller) but its like a short film.
Really a perfect album, and to do it at that age and produce so much of it yourself too… wild. You gotta check out his other album (obviously) but his black box freestyle is also crazy and he was even younger during that- his old projects are great too, just not as polished
Not so fun fact but Lesley is actually Dave's mother and its a true stor. You can find it on google if you dont trust me, but this song will forever haunt me in a beautiful way.
Dave is brilliant, wish he got more love from the american hip hop community. Though maybe I'm biased as I'm from the UK and relate to a lot on what he says lol
his brother went to jail and was actually apart of one of the worst knife stabbings in the uk. his brother didn't do the stabbing, but was apart of the group and got 18 years i think.
